The rest of our summer vacation....

Steve had knee replacement surgery a few weeks ago. He doesn't think he wants to have the other knee done. This is definately a bad time for him to make that decision since he is still on pain pills and miserable.

Linna and her family came to visit July 6. Linna will return to work July 14 and will fly and meet Grandma and the kids in Las Vegas on July 19.

On to Jason and Jackie's house. We will stay there a week. The kids can hardly wait to see their cousins, aunt, uncle, and great grandma.

We go back to Mesa a week later. Time to get ready for school to start and shopping for school clothes will be a highlight to the kids.

2009=OUR 40th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

We've decided to spend our 40th anniversary camping at Lake Tahoe. We hope all 5 of our children's families will join us in the celebration. Our anniversary is June 18 so we'd like to be there at that time. Mark your calendars so we can all be together. That would be the best gift we could ever receive. Maybe we could even take in a temple session in Reno all together....we'll see! We are looking very forward to this. Nothing means more to us than our family!

Our visit to ClearLake!

Steve and I flew from Phoenix to Sacramento. We were able to stay in Clearlake for 4 days. We stayed at a little motel just a few miles from Mike and Liz's. The children stayed with us in the motel each night and we spent the days together while Mike and Liz worked. . We went to swimming lessons with the kids each evening. We had a wonderful time. What a joy it is to visit there every 6 months. Wish we could go more often.

Sarah's Baptism

Steve came to Phoenix for Sarah's baptism and from there we went to ClearLake to see Mike's family.

Canning season is in full swing!

I have been busy picking and canning LOTS of tomatoes. Today I canned 28 quarts of tomatoes and 11 pints of salsa. I still have lots of extra tomatoes. Too bad I can't sell them at $3.00 a lb. like in the stores.

Help! I need more canning jars. Does anyone have any extras? I've been trying to can tomatoes for Linna, Jackie and Crystal.
